The Board of Supervisors is the governing and policymaking body of the Cochise County. The Board is empowered to perform acts necessary to fully discharge its duties as the legislative authority of County government.
The powers of the Board are very broad in nature and are defined in the Arizona Revised Statutes: 11-251 (Powers of board). The members of the Board feel that one of their primary responsibilities is the in-depth oversight of the County Budget.
