[ARCHIVED] Cochise County Announces the Start of Special and School District Candidate Filing Period

Candidate Filing Period

Cochise County today announces the start of the Special and School District Candidate Filing Period. Candidates running for an open seat for a Special District or School District in Cochise County may begin filing their nomination and petition forms today.

Candidates seeking an office for a Special District must file the original documents in person with the Elections Department, located at 1415 Melody Lane, Building E, Bisbee, AZ 85603, during regular business hours. 

Candidates seeking an office for a School District Governing Board must file with the Cochise County School Superintendent’s Office, located at 4001 E. Foothills Dr, Sierra Vista, AZ 85635, during regular business hours. Signature requirements, forms, or a list of open school board offices are available at   

Write-in nomination forms may also be filed with the appropriate filing office until 5:00 p.m. on July 25, 2022.

A list of all open offices can be viewed at The filing deadline to run in the November 8, 2022 General Election is 5:00 p.m. on July 11th.
