As soon as you receive it in the mail. Vouchers must be used within 12 months of the date it was postmarked.
Residents with property classified as one of the following:
Renters do not receive a voucher. Vouchers are mailed to the property owner (landlord).
Dump voucher are valid for one year (12 months) from the postmark stamp on card.
Free dump day vouchers will begin to be mailed out February 14, 2022. Please wait a few weeks to receive yours. Reminder: they are only mailed to qualifying residents that have a mailing address in Cochise County.
The voucher has no cash value and is good for 1 trip, up to half ton (1,000 lbs.) of refuse. Any amount over that weight would be charged to the hauler.
Bring it in to any of the Cochise County operated Solid Waste collection sites and give it to the Fee Attendant to redeem. Voucher must be presented at time of weigh in.
Voucher can be used for regular household trash, yard debris, and acceptable demolition. However, there will be a limit of five tires per voucher.
